Highest scientific level

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproduction has held a Chair of research in obstetrics and gynaecology (CIOG) since 1998, granted by the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona.

This Chair has a university character, and its main objective is to propose lines of research, stimulate and support the completion of doctoral theses, promote national and international publications and scientific presentations, and ensure that we are always at the highest scientific level in all our works, courses, and presentations. At present, Dr Pedro N. Barri Ragué holds the position of Director of the Chair, who guarantees the excellence of all the scientific production and research activities of the Department.
