Hospital Universitari Dexeus

The Institut Universitari Dexeus was inaugurated in 1973, as a centre dedicated to Obstetrics and Gynaecology. It progressively expanded its hospital care until it became a multidisciplinary centre, with different healthcare and consultation units.

Since August 2007 it has been located in the current building of Les Corts on Calle Sabino de Arana, 5-19, in Barcelona.

The hospital centre has advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques. Its staff is highly qualified and currently approximately 540 professionals work in it. The medical group is made up of specialists from different fields, of which more than 60% have exclusive dedication.

The Hospital Universitari Dexeus is accredited for the training of MIR residents and has three teaching units corresponding to the following specialities:

  • Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproduction.
  • Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Pain Therapy.
  • Orthopaedic Surgery, Traumatology and Sports Medicine.
