The Dexeus School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the oldest of this speciality in Spain

Aiming to excellence

The Dexeus School of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the oldest of this speciality in Spain It was created in the 1930s, from the concern of its founder, Dr Santiago Dexeus Font, a gynaecologist who sought excellence in care and wanted to transform a medical speciality that was poorly developed at that time. His passion for learning, teaching, and spreading new knowledge surrounded him with enthusiastic disciples. Hundreds of professionals from all over the world have trained at our centre since then.

From the first private maternity hospital in Spain to the new healthcare concept of Dexeus Mujer, the Dexeus School has aimed to train professionals focusing on the needs of the patient, incorporating the most cutting-edge medical and technological advances, and applying the most appropriate teaching methods according to each field of knowledge.
