National grant for clinical research

The grants are aimed at young researchers and graduates in biomedical sciences, to finance the carrying out of their research projects in the field of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine.

The Clinical Research Grant will be framed in a specific area related to Women’s Health, which will be specified when the call is announced.
The areas on which the scholarships may be announced will be the following:

  • General Gynaecology
  • Maternal Foetal Medicine
  • Oncological Gynaecology
  • Reproductive Medicine

The works must not have been previously awarded, nor present any connection or interest for commercial purposes. The selection of candidates will be made by a jury that will be made up of the members of the Foundation’s Scientific Committee and personalities of recognized prestige in the field of health sciences.

From the moment the grant is awarded, the person or the research team has two years to develop the project. At the end of the period established for the completion of the work, the winner must submit a complete report of the completed work, specifying the conclusions reached.

National call for a Research Grant in the field of Obstetrics - Gynaecology - Reproductive Medicine

  1. Grant aimed at young researchers and graduates in health sciences to carry out their research projects in the field mentioned above, within a Spanish institution of recognized prestige. The university degree must have been issued by a Spanish University. Projects whose main researcher is under 40 years old on the closing date of the call will be attended in a preferential way. The responsibility and training of this researcher will be endorsed by the head of the research group and the centre in which it is integrated.
  2. The grant will be 6,000 EUROS, including the amount corresponding to the established tax obligations. The grant will be 6,000 EUROS, including the amount corresponding to the established tax obligations. 50% of the amount will be paid at the time of granting the scholarship and the remaining 50% at the end of the research project, not being possible to modify this payment schedule. If the project is not carried out, the candidate agrees to return the amount received. Failure to submit the annual reports indicated in point 12 of these bases in time and form, empowers the Foundation to demand the return of the amounts received by the grant recipient.
  3. Those interested in opting for this grant must make the corresponding application exclusively by e-mail to the address fundacion@dexeus.com, attaching the application form that must be mandatory used. The Foundation may request, at any moment, the delivery of the original documentation submitted.
    For these purposes, all applications must attach the following documents, in accordance with the model provided on the web:
    1. The option for which the grant is requested must be clearly specified in the data sheet.
    2. Detailed report of the work to be carried out (length between 5-7 pages), specifying the objectives, action plan, development phases, dates, financial report, and justification of the convenience of carrying out the work.
    3. Detailed CV of the main researcher.
    4. A copy of these bases with the signature of acceptance by the main researcher, the head of the research group of which the main researcher is a part and the head of the centre where the project will be developed.
    5. Letter signed by those responsible for the research group and the centre giving their agreement to the project’s implementation and its viability. In the case of researchers under 40 years of age, they must also certify both the responsibility and the capacity of the main researcher for the development of the project presented.
    6. ID photocopy of the main researcher.
  4. The works must not have been previously awarded, nor present any connection or interest for commercial purposes.
  5. The works and documentation must be submitted in Spanish.
  6. The fact of participating in the call implies full acceptance of the established bases. Failure to comply with any of the obligations may affect the receipt of the financial award of the grant.
  7. The selection of candidates will be made by a Jury that will be made up of the members of the Foundation’s Scientific Committee and personalities of recognized prestige in the field of health sciences. The grant will be awarded to the candidacy that obtains the majority of votes from the Jury.
  8. The Jury’s decision will be final and will be communicated to the interested party in writing, immediately after its decision. The Jury may declare the scholarship object of the call void, in any of its areas, when in its opinion the applicants do not reach the required level.
  9. The documentation presented will not be returned. Once the Jury’s decision has been communicated to the winner, the latter will be obliged to state in writing, within 15 days, the acceptance or resignation of the Grant. Failure to comply with this requirement will motivate the cancellation of the Grant awarding.
  10. From the moment the grant is awarded, the person or research team will have two years to develop the project and must submit a first report on the status of the work, at the end of the first twelve months. After two years, at the end of the period established for the completion of the work, the winner must submit a complete report of the completed work, specifying the conclusions reached. These reports must be submitted at the headquarters of the Dexeus Mujer Foundation.
  11. Any change or temporary interruption in the development of the research project must be approved by the Dexeus Mujer Foundation, after adequate justification of its convenience or need.
  12. The place and date of delivery of the GRANT will be announced well in advance.
  13. The Dexeus Mujer Foundation fully complies with current legislation on the protection of personal data and, specifically, maintains the commitment of confidentiality on any data provided.
  14. The personal data related to the grant applicants included in the documents referred to in these bases, will be incorporated into the Foundation’s Database and will be used to send information about the services offered by the Foundation in the field of teaching.
